Public Infidelities
I really find it amazing that Governor Eugene Robinson took the issue all on his own. If we remember former President Clinton and former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, they had to make the statement about their infidelities with their wives while Governor Robinson did it alone.
Most people would think that these women are being publicly humiliated and all. But then again, they are not. I believe that they are maintaining their poise and holding their head up high. This would just meanthat they know who they are and that they know what they are capable of doing.
Why, if they remained in hiding, they would definitely be hurting themselves even more with the people lambasting them publicly and they can’t do anything about it. That would be a real big blow on them and their ego.
It would be a better choice to put up with all the issues. It would just show the world that they are capable of making their own decisions. It is also a way of saying, “I know how to guard my territory that’s why my husband is admitting his wrongdoing.”
For the philanderers, if they weren’t so happy about things with their marriage, why did they marry these women in the first place? They should’ve stayed single.
Nobody said that infidelity is a good thing. It is always going to be wrong. I really feel sorry for these women who are being put under these circumstances that they didn’t choose to be put in. All I’m saying is that these women deserve the respect. They aren’t puppets to their husbands. This just means that they are holding true to the love and promise that they have made during their wedding – for better or for worse ‘til death do they part.
